PROBLEMS ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ALS IN THE PHILIPPINES

              Alternative Learning System in the Philippines aims to provide an option for dropouts, rich and poor 

 who are busy but willing to undergo trainings and modular classes  to learn and develop their skills for them to survive and perhaps  continue to higher education.Looking at the purpose of which ALS is created is very good but in the implementation of which has also problems being encountered at this present time making ALS not so effective in our country.

            

            Here are some among the many problems encountered in the implementation of ALS in our country:

• Many lack knowledge about Alternative Learning System
• Uncontrolled multiple entry and exit of clientele 
• Fund is not enough for the reproduction of the needed materials 
• ALS clientele most often does not attend learning sessions because of their needs.
• Liittle support from local officials 
• Mobile teachers sacrifice their money since traveling allowance is not enough 

      Here are some of suggestions needed to resolve these problems:

•  Conduct Information drive about Alternative Learning System.
• Learners must join the learning sessions 
• Local officials must listen and do something to the problems encountered by ALS.
• Additional permanent mobile teachers are highly needed.
• Increase the funding of Alternative Learning System.
• Collaborative cooperation of everybody to support the program of ALS.

            If these given suggestions are meet then I'm sure it will  improve performance and quality education of ALS clientele in the Philippines.
